DISPLACEMENTAPP: A Web and mobile application for crowsourcing displacement data
DisplacementAPP is a web and mobile application that collects and maps data on eviction and displacement resulting from gentrification and development projects in cities. The technology is specifically designed to help grass-root organizations and their advocacy work all around the world. Questions in the app are continuously modified based on organizations’ requests. Current question set uses human rights framework and aims to collect information for pro, impact assessment and displacement spatial mapping. Special infographics are designed for each question in order to create a user-friendly interface.
This application uses postGIS and PHP to create maps/diagrams and reports dynamically to the respective organization.
