HARVARD MELLON URBAN INITIATIVE WEB PLATFORM
Harvard Mellon Urban Initiative is working to establish vigorous, interdisciplinary, and coordinated study of urban environments across disciplines. The web design of the Initiative was created in line with this ambition to recreate urban terminology. Various patterns, city footages and landscape photos were heavily used as part of the graphic language. An interactive vertical timeline displays the public events of the Initiative. A special multimedia page, ‘Cross-Portal Blog’, is designed to enable communication and collaboration among research groups. Cross Portal Blog plays a significant role in shaping the goals of the research and curating the content of research projects.
